Scottish naturalist and author; born 1914, died 1969.
Now best known for his work with otters, and his book "Ring of Bright Water" (adapted for film in 1969); he also traveled the marshes of Southern Iraq with Wilfred Thesiger, and published his own account of the trip as "A Reed Shaken By The Wind".
