Welcomes undergraduate and postgraduate students on courses across the Faculty of Biological Sciences. They run a wide range of social and academic events throughout the year both on their own and in collaboration with other societies.
BioSoc represents students from across the university who are interested in all biology subjects, from genetics to ecology, and particularly those who study within the Faculty of Biological Sciences.
Leeds University Business School aims to improve the university experience by sharing in a vast business network. They provide CV and interview workshops, networking events, and talks from business leaders. They also run sports teams and host socials.
Leeds ChemEngSoc host a variety of socials and events throughout the year as well as academic-related events (site visits, industrial talks).

East Asian Research
EARS organises academic and social events such as talks, conferences, trips and nights out. They represent members of East Asian Studies as well as all students with an interest in East Asia or who are from East Asia.
Economic Geologists (SEG)
Leeds SEG is a local chapter of a national collection of geologists engaged in mineral exploration, extraction, and the business associated with it.
A group of thinkers with a wide range of backgrounds, interests and perspectives who aim to demystify, diversify, and invigorate received approaches to economic thought and the question the shared logic of capitalism.
EdSoc helps students to socialise with classmates, as well as deepen and broaden the study of education. They run regular Thursday-night socials, educational workshops, talks from external speakers, and an annual summer ball for students and staff from across the department.

Healthcare Innovation Team Leeds
Working in association with the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management (FMLM) which is the UK’s largest community of medical leaders and gives members an opportunity to shape the future of healthcare.
The History Society provides an opportunity for students of History to socialise outside of their course. They host regular social events as well as activities to improve employability prospects.
The International Business Society seek to bring together students on degrees incorporating international business as well as any students interested in careers in international business.
The Italian Society offer a place for learners and speakers of Italian to hang out and get involved in events, nights out, and other activities inspired by a shared love of Italy. Events include Italian speaking coffee mornings, Italian film nights, and an annual trip to Italy.
Leeds LawSoc provides aspiring lawyers with ways to develop the transferable skills that will stand them in good stead for entering the legal sector. As well as sports, socials, and trips, they also have a Pro Bono committee allowing members to volunteer for their legal advice clinic and the Academic Academy which provides opportunities for debating, mooting, and networking.
Leeds Media Students
Leeds Media Students are based in the School of Media and Communications and cover the courses Cinema and Photography, Communication and Media, Broadcast Journalism, New Media, and all related postgraduate courses. They run a wide range of socials and events catering to this large and diverse membership including bowling, pub quizzes, and mystery nights out.
LingSoc welcomes all who are studying single honours or linguistics alongside another subject, helping them to get the most out of the department both socially and academically.
Maths Society brings together students with an interest in maths, either for their degree or a general love.
Medical Students' Representative Council
Committee made up of medical students elected yearly by their peers. They represent all year groups to senior members of the faculty in the medical school and provide a voice for all medical students at the University of Leeds.
Host socials including a cocktail party and the Spring Ball.
Stage regular trips to sites of interest such as the Lindisfarne Gospels Exhibition, the Royal Armouries, Jarrow and Bede's World.

Middle Eastern Studies
This Society is for students in the Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies department. They hold weekly events which include food tastings, coffee mornings, and drop-in sessions to discuss ongoing work with peers across all levels of study.
The Midwifery Society is for all Midwifery students, qualified midwives, and midwifery enthusiasts. They provide supplementary learning opportunities through film screenings, study days and careers events.
The society is run by students who have been through module choices, laboratory modules, applications for years abroad, and years in industry.

PCISoc represent students across the faculty of Performance and Cultural Industries and aim to create a strong network for the variety of interlinking disciplines to collaborate.
Petroleum Engineers (SPE)
The Society welcomes all students interested in a career in the global oil, gas, and petrochemical industries. They work closely with the International Society of Petroleum Engineers and other SPE University chapters to arrange social, academic and employability events.
PhilSoc are committed to being a place where people interested in philosophy can get together, share ideas, debate and enjoy each others company.
Physoc holds social events on a regular basis for all its members through the academic year.
Politics, Philosophy & Economics (PPE)
PPE Society provide a helpful, fun, and supportive place for all students of Politics, Philosophy and Economics to meet like-minded people on their course and get to know some friendly faces in lectures and classes shared with those on other programmes.
Product Design bring all the different year groups on the course together in a social environment.
Psyched, the psychiatry society is open to all students who have an interest in mental health.
The PsychSoc organise a huge range of social events throughout the year to help members meet new people and spark friendships with other people on their course. They also hold fundraising events for a number of charities and work closely with members of staff in the department to host careers events.
Along with socials and lectures they also run collaborative events with other societies and run active sports teams who compete in tournaments.

This society is open to everyone studying or simply interested in Russian & Slavonic languages and culture.
Electronic and Electrical Engineering Society, is open to all undergraduates and postgraduates on relevant courses as well as hobbyists.

Allows students in the School of Sport and Exercise Science to get together outside of lectures to socialise and discover potential careers.
