We had an awful experience with Choices Crawley as FTBs and would never use them again. We have since used another estate agents and understand just how sub-par our experience with Choices Crawley was!

The purchase fell through because of a legal matter with the house. Rather than acting responsibly, Choices pressured us to ignore our chosen solicitor’s advice and carry on, which could have left us completely exposed further down the line. It felt like they were working against us, and the only thing they cared about was chasing their commission. They seemed to play on our inexperience as FTBs, with Jake brushing off important issues as if they didn’t matter, when they absolutely did.

They were horrible to deal with, caused us huge amounts of stress and anxiety, and showed zero concern or understanding for our position as buyers.
We would strongly warn anyone considering them.

⭐ 1 STAR — Avoid at all costs! The most stressful, disorganised experience of our lives.
If I could give zero stars, I would. Buying our first home through Choices was supposed to be the most exciting time of our lives — instead, it turned into an absolute nightmare that dragged on for months, full of stress, confusion, and appalling service.
We viewed the house in October while tenants were still living there. We were told they would be out by January at the latest, so we put in our offer based on that timeline. From there, it was downhill.
Communication was awful from start to finish. We had to chase them every single week for updates, and no one ever had a straight answer. At one point, we were suddenly told it had to go to court to remove the tenants — something they "weren’t sure of the outcome of." This completely blindsided us and filled us with anxiety. We were kept in the dark at every stage.
They also recommended their solicitors, AVRillo — do yourself a favour and AVOID THEM TOO. Not only were they expensive, they were inflexible and difficult to deal with. Appointments could only be made during awkward hours (10–11 or 2–3 — can’t even remember, it’s all a blur at this point). As first-time buyers, we were naive, and we were charged for things we didn’t even understand — no proper explanations were given.
The process dragged on for so long that our original mortgage offer expired, and we had to reapply at a much higher interest rate — costing us thousands more in the long run.
When we finally got the keys in mid-May, the property was left in an absolutely disgusting state. We had been promised an end-of-tenancy clean by Choices, which they then tried to deny. I had to fight tooth and nail, with evidence, to get the clean done — and even when it was, it looked like no one had done anything. It was a joke.
I had to literally beg someone from Choices to meet me at the property. What was supposed to be the most exciting day of our lives turned into a complete disaster. The only person who showed any compassion was Jake, and even he couldn’t do anything — it wasn’t his fault, but it’s telling that he was the only one who seemed to care.
After completion, Choices completely washed their hands of us, as did the solicitors. The house wasn’t in the agreed condition at exchange, but they refused to let my partner attend in person and told us we had to accept photos only — again, something we later found out is not standard practice.
To top it all off, it’s now September and they still haven’t collected their “SOLD” sign from outside the property.
We’ve now fully renovated the house and made it a home — and it’s beautiful — but we cannot let the experience we went through slide. Do NOT use Choices. They are unprofessional, disorganised, and seem to care more about closing the sale than treating their buyers with honesty or respect.

Recently bought property through Choices Crawley and it was genuinely such a stressful, disorganised and chaotic experience. Moving home is always going to be stressful, however this team is so inconsiderate and impatient - especially Jake. During this process, he has been blunt and has a strong attitude.
On key collection day, it was one of the worst encounters with Jake. We arrived at the office and previously arranged for one of the members of the team to come with us to show us how the smart meters work and all these things as we did not meet the seller nor have their contact details.
However, when we got there, they simply handed the keys in an envelope where staff had written where the smart meter was, how many keys were enclosed and that's it. They did not say simple things like
"congratulations on your new home" or any sort of things. They literally just handed us the envelope without saying anything and expected us to just leave happily. My daughter had to explain that we arranged previously for an agent to come with us to the property, and Jake, who didn't even look at us, said he was filled up with appointments and his tone of voice was very direct and blunt. Another customer walked in and the lettings agent we were speaking to just shifted all of her attention onto these new customers for 10 minutes, laughing and conversing and left me and my daughter completely frazzled as we were just standing there with no one helping us out. The customers eventually left, and I explained to Jake and the lettings agent that their service was completely unprofessional and is seriously disappointing considering they are receiving about £4K from my own pocket for agency fees etc. Jake began angrily answering back at me, saying that "no agent will take you to the property" and other things. I was shocked as moving day is supposed to be a happy day for myself and the family, however Jake completely ruined that for me. His attitude is completely foul and he needs to be sacked.

Choices Crawley are misleading and liars.
They told me that a driveway would be built and that the council approved it, however despite asking for weeks, they failed to provide proof from the council. The seller said they would leave 3 wardrobes for us (which is in print) however they left behind 2, 1 of which was literally broken and falling apart and we had to dismantle it ourselves. The wardrobes from one of the bedrooms were missing and not only do we have photo evidence of the entire house from viewing days, but also there are imprints on the carpets where the wardrobes once were.

Amy and Curtis however were amazing and very helpful throughout my purchase, and I am truly appreciative of their service. These two are brilliant 🙏

She welcomed us with open arms,we were very comfortable with her as she showed us around with a smile 😃 on her face..I will want her to show me the next property again.
