Having grown the business, our service will continually improve through our desire to improve and provide the best service to our clients. The team continue to delight me with their helpfulness, diligence and good nature, especially in these seriously difficult times. We have had the services of Umega to let our flat for a number of years and we cannot commend them highly enough. Very efficient, friendly, always on top of all the regulations and certificates, always obtained good tenants for us and provided a very helpful summary each year of income and expenses for our tax return. Unfortunately my great experience with UMEGA Lettings went downhill quickly once the landlord found that the flat needed a complete rewire due to the EICR report finding aluminium wiring throughout the property.Report
Umega did not communicate properly what the works would exactly entail, what was required of us as tenants and when we moved back, we were left with a flat with dust pouring from the open channels in the walls and ceilings.
It was impossible to get much of a concrete answer on when the decoration works would begin and/or be completed.
My partner and I are demanding Umega compensate us adequately for the disruption, health hazard, poor communication and for the fact we both had to take time off work to move out, back in and clean the mess.Re: Unfortunately my great ex ... Before summer this year, me and my partner would have given Umega five star review but after the way they have handled disruptive rewiring works in our flat and failed to take our health concerns and other issues properly, we are rating them one star. They have failed to take our health concerns properly, with the rewiring works causing so much dust that it exacerbate my partners asthma. We couldn't stay in the property due to this and when communicated to Umega that this was happening, they framed our concern as an unfortunate consequence of the rewiring works. They have failed to properly compensate us for the disruption the works has caused which spanned to nearly 5 weeks until completion in which our flat was back to it's pretty-rewiring state. In my opinion, Umega lettings does not sound good. For instance, I have heard of them jeopardising their tenant's health with an unsafe property containing aluminium wiring, which, when assessed by an electrician, was found to be a fire risk. In that situation, the work done to rectify the issue caused yet more health concerns, I heard that no formal risk assessments were conducted and an excessive amount of dust was all over the property. A tenant with asthma was left with breathing problems. As a person with lung conditions, this upsets me to hear. For last few weeks I've been trying to find new place. Fast forward my wasted time with other Agency - I came across Umega - wow what a difference!!!
For first time I actually felt that person who is corresponding with me actually cares about me. Can't remember all the names (Yasemin, Rebecca and few more sorry I've missed your name...) but it was dealt with Extremely high level of customer care, clearly and effectively making this process stressless. Everything went smooth from first application to signing my tenancy agreement.
Thank You Umega team - its very refreshing to actually see the level of professionalism your employees deliver. I'm myself in customer focused occupation and I'm thankful for what have you done - not only during assisting me with my requests but also showing me that there are people out there who actually CARE.
