The most famous Ballroom in the world! Reginald Dixon MBE it's celebrity resident organist from 1930 to 1970. Phil Kelsall MBE principal organist since 1977 continues the traditions set by his predecessors. The Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ has got to be heard in the hands of this truly magical musician!Report

Stunning building, you can tell a lot of money and work has been spent. We had seats to watch an orchestra on the Mid-balcony and the view of the stage was great.Report
The only negative was that when we went, it was really pouring down with rain, and the roof was leaking, so the rain was rapidly dripping onto the seats directly behind us, (the people sat on them had to move) loud *plink plink plink* noises throughout. We were concerned about the seats being damaged so we tried putting a cup there, but it made the noise 10x worse. During the interval a member of staff came and put huge swathes of blue roll over the seats.
Beautiful theatre overall though.

Afternoon tea and dancing in this fantastic iconic ball room as part of a 3 day dance holiday with starlightlight dancing was 100% memorable...Report
Firstly for ballroom and Latin dancers, the dance floor lives up to its legend, sprung and so easy to glide across across, its very very large but so worth the effort. We done our samba routine going round the floor twice which equates to x6 where we normally dance...
The building , the ballroom decor is amazing, I understand grade 1 listed.
The afternoon tea, the service was also very very good and bar prices very good, cheaper than the hotel we stayed in...
