We can't praise Jonathon enough for his work. From the date we booked until our big day, he kept in touch and made sure we were happy with his service. He made us and all of our guests feel extremely comfortable, so much so it felt like a friend was taking our photos. We have had some beautiful pre-wedding shots and have seen a preview of our wedding pictures and they look fantastic! From our first meeting with Jonathon we knew he was the right choice to photograph our wedding day. He was very easy to get along with, passionate about his work and the examples of his previous work where of a very high standard. My husband and I had never done a photo shoot before so were a little nervous about our pre-wedding shoot but Jonathon put us at ease straight away and we were delighted at how these photos turned out! On the day Jonathon was very professional and efficient, he organised the group shots quickly and put everyone at ease instantly. Our newly-wed photos turned our amazing and our guests commented that we weren't away from them or the party too long while these where being taken. Jonathon was excellent at communicating with us before and after the wedding, keeping us up to date on timescales and progress. Our album has just been received and we are absolutely delighted with how it turned out! If you're currently looking for a wedding photographer look no further than Jonathon Fowler - you won't be disappointed!

My wife being Icelandic and me being Swiss, we decided to have our wedding in Edinburgh, as it is right in the middle between Switzerland and Iceland. We wanted to privilege a local photographer to benefit from his local knowledge and were not disappointed by our choice. Jonathon did an outstanding job from A to Z, providing us with high quality JPEG files, great photo albums and an unexpected 2016 calendar. These photos will be ours forever and we are really happy to have paid the fair but not cheap though not overly expensive price for something that is anyway priceless. The pre-wedding photo-shot at Calton Hill was a bonus we loved, as it adds some unconventional pictures to our wedding memories. We would recommend Jonathon without hesitation for anyone going to have a wedding in Edinburgh, should it be Scottish people or visitors from abroad like us, as communication via email was courteous as well as efficient. Gave a fantasically professional and personal service.
It's always difficult to be confident when booking a service like this, as "quality" is such a subjective term - Jonathon was reassuringly great from first contact (website and then a meeting to discuss our needs/wants) all the way through the pre-wedding photo shoot, the wedding itself and then, of course, the final pictures themselves.

In the lead up to the day, he was prompt and courteous at answering all of our questions; and on the day he operated with a perfect balance of directing us where necessary, and staying out of the way and snapping candid shots - I have no idea how he managed to get some of the ones he did.

Fantastic photos. Fantastic service.

We were lucky to have Jonathon as our wedding photographer in October 2013 at Carberry Tower, nr Edinburgh. We initially seen his work through his website and immediately loved his style. We contacted Jonathon and arranged a meeting to discuss both our ideas and his, of what our wedding photography could be. From that day to this, Jonathon has been a gem to work with and despite me having a couple of special additional requests after the actual day, he has gone out his way to accommodate with speed and perfection. His professional but unintrusive style was exactly what we were looking for and both our family and guests commented on this both on the day and when viewing the finished result of the images of our wedding day.

I intend on passing on word of Jonathon's amazing work and strongly recommend his services for any occasion where spectacular photography is to be part of your memory.

We received our wedding photos from Jonathon this week, and we are delighted with his work. Jonathon is a true professional, and was so easy to work with from our first meeting through to the end of the wedding day.

Jonathon has a very relaxed and friendly demeanor, which is exactly what you want in a wedding photographer - we really did enjoy working with him. Not only do my wife and I love our photos, everyone who we have shown them to has commented on the quality of photography and how wonderfully the day was captured. What is also remarkable is how Jonathon managed to closely capture the action without ever getting in the way.

The bottom line is that Jonathon's service is high quality and very reasonably priced. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

My husband and I loved Jonathon from the moment we met him. We called and left a message as it was a Sunday afternoon and he very quickly called us back which was totally unexpected. He came to our home a few days later with his sample albums which we loved, lots of beautiful pictures and a selection of different options which was fantastic. Jonathon spent a great deal of time with us on the first meeting, we didn't feel that he was looking at his watch to make a dash! He talked us through everything we wanted to know (I had a list of questions to ask which I'd spotted in a wedding mag) and gave us great advice. Jonathon sent us a contract to look over which set out everything we needed to know. We booked him immediately and paid our deposit, settling the final balance a few weeks before our wedding. If we ever had any question to ask Jonathon always replied very quickly which is excellent as weddings get a bit stressful at times. We had access to our wedding album online whilst we were still on honeymoon (and we went straight away), no waiting around for months on end like we know some people have done. The photos are absolutely gorgeous, the colours are so vibrant and every picture is sharp, capturing our special day. We went for a digital package as we like to display our photos in our home but I can say that the albums Jonathon produces are absolutely beautiful. He has also put us in touch with a company that do some fabulous printing options so we just need to pick our favourites now which is going to be hard!! We have just got our disc and it is beautifully presented (I thought it would be a plain CD case but its not!!). We will be booking Jonathon later this year for my PhD graduation and if/when we have little ones. Jonathon is an absolutely lovely man to work with, very professional and we would have no hesitation in recommending him.

My husband and I were lucky enough to have Jon as a very good friend, so when we got engaged, there was no question as to who we would use as our photographer. Although a friend, he was still extremely professional with us from start to finish - discussing our options with packages, albums, group photos etc.

On the day itself, Jon turned up well dressed in plenty of time and was very good at putting people at ease, melting into the background and capturing some truly stunning shots. A lot of the photos were captured without people being aware - these are fantastically natural and a great memento of the day.

Although I know very little about cameras, I know that his have produced shots of the highest quality and he has a very good eye as to what will make a good shot.

We now have a beautiful Italian cream leather bound album with thick metallic pages filled with fantastic photos as a result. I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends, family or anyone as we are extremely happy with the service and the results of his hard work.

We used Jonathon as a videographer for our wedding in June 2012, from the initial contact with Jonathon until even now he has been fantastic to work with. On the day he was excellent and captured so many precious and funny moments. He genuinely wants to provide a perfect service, and put everyone at ease from the outset.

The finished product was amazing! with the quality of the video and the cinematic effects making the video look more like a Film!

Overall would recommend Jonathon 100% from inital contact to the day we got the DVD his service was second to none
