Rang this company to confirm prices on cedar shingles that I was about to order, pointed out a discrepancy between their graded prices. They then changed their price so that my order was ann extra £350!!!!
On querying this with them, I was told that my honesty had cost me and had I not pointed that out in the first place, I would have had my order at the original price…Doesn’t matter that I possibly saved them tons of money on future orders from their website…they were not prepared to honour their original price…chocking customer service..suffice to say I will not be spending my money with them..

Am a domestic customer with very specific orders for external and internal cladding. Morgan gave exceptional service and always came back to me with answers to technical questions. The products were delivered as ordered and within the time frame expected. Not often does one receive such attentive, caring service! Would definitely use Timber Focus again. Geoff T.

The quality of timber and the level of service can be hit or miss with this company.

I once ordered charred timber for my house cladding, and approximately 10% of the boards arrived damaged. When I sought a replacement, I was initially refused and offered a refund instead. I was taken aback when I was told, "You are the first to complain; we have many customers and don't need you as one." However, the same representative called back later to apologize and we eventually arranged for a replacement delivery. It took two more attempts, but I finally received timber of satisfactory quality.

On a separate order for my patio ceiling, I wasn't as fortunate. Two faulty boards were delivered, and this time, I was only offered a refund with no option for replacement. I had to source the replacement boards from another supplier.

Setting aside the issues with faulty boards, the overall quality of the timber is decent.

I was in the market to buy some western red cedar wood to clad my garden room build, after requesting samples from a few companies I was impressed with timber focus so decided to place my order with them - dealt with Elliot sales manager who upon placing the order was very helpful BUT once they had taken my money service went down hill - I received no updates on my order other than initially was told I would receive the order in 7 working days - upon the 7th working day when I sent 2 emails and had to call to find out where and when I was going to receive my order to be told deliveries are between 7-10days which was never on any of my paper work. Day 10 day of scheduled delivery day I again had to ring to get a delivery time was told 9.30am - after 3 further calls from me and no communication from timber focus the order arrived at 12.30 - the delivery was done by a young lad who was actually quite a nice guy informed me that it was he’s second day on the job and he’d not been given any training as he’d only just got back from Spain and literally started the job the day after. So after buying and paying for a premium product the young lad whilst unloading drops my order I was absolutely heart broken and panicked that it was probably damaged so as I decided to inspect the cedar whilst the driver was present to witness and it turned out 7 lengths had been badly damaged - when I rang timber focus once again spoke to Morgan and felt the conversation was not very accommodating was told to take pictures and send them via email. Which I decided at this point I couldn’t be bothered - ended up gluing and making do with what I had. Feel really disappointed with the experience with timber focus as it felt once they had taken my money customer service was non existent and it sad as the product itself was actually very good and I was pleased with the cedar other than the damaged ones at no point did anyone call and check though out the process & sadly with regret will not use timber focus again.
